Back in the day we used to play a board game named Monopoly.
One of the cards dealt at the start was “Get Out Of Jail Free”. if
Your fortunes sagged and you were dragged to debtor’s prison,
Here was your escape! As an aging adult I no longer play Monopoly
But do play a game of chance in which a loss can toss me into the
Hospital. I can’t get out free but I do have a card that never fails
To reduce my time in jail. Daily exercises of body and mind keep
This card at the ready to steady me and buys the security of
Knowing I have done my part before trouble starts.
You do set an excellent example, Glen - don’t stop! I enjoy your poems and pearls of wisdom every Friday.
Hooray for your daily exercises (body and mind), Glen! Setting a good example and reminder for us all to "do our part"
Bless you brave Glen, and love your playful and soulful introspection....
