From mountains of evidence, it would appear the 30’s and
40’s are our most productive years. At 94, I find it hard to
Ignore considerable evidence on another shore. When our
Lives tilt from incline to decline, the demands to produce
A response exceeds the drive to thrive at thirty- five. As we
Grow new fears, we shift gears to save our sagging selves
From being shelved. Climbing the corporate ladder demanded
Ambition, climbing down, attrition. The toughest part of living?
Fighting for it.
