We make mistakes we regret but cannot
forget. At age of six or seven my little
brother and I passed an outdoor café
selling cokes. Neither had the nickel,
but I had a slug and a big thirst. Digging
deep I squeezed it tight, and a little
rightened, dropped the slug with a thug
on the counter and treated us both to
an ill begotten coke.
I can’t remember what I wore at my
wedding, but I still remember the slug.
This is not the worst thing I ever did,
but it’s one that keeps me honest,
almost.
Yes, early memories can be very powerful and helpful as we strive to be our best. Thanks, Glen 🤗
