Little Cloud

Writer: glenhaneyglenhaney

The little cloud lifted, then drifted into a valley

Where it moistened the air for the oncoming night.

Earlier in the day it had hovered over

Three husky men digging a grave

As they prepared to lay another soul beyond cloud’s reach.

He was partial to funerals.

His shade pleased the grieved

As the mourners left the source of their sorrow

He dimmed the light when

Darkness claimed its rights
